More About Kate Bridges

Kate Bridges grew up in rural Canada and now lives on the outskirts of Toronto with her husband, daughter, and inquisitive little dog. Prior to becoming a full-time writer, Kate worked in the medical field and later was a home design expert for a television show.

Kate's first historical romance novel was published in 2002. Since then, she's added more than twenty titles. Her books have been honored with several awards and distinctions. These include the USA TODAY Bestseller List, Borders National Bestseller List, CataRomance Reviewers' Choice Award, Barclay Gold Best Historical of the Year, and RTBookreviews Reviewers' Choice nominations. Kate's novels have been studied in over a dozen colleges in their commercial fiction writing courses, have been translated into several languages and are sold worldwide.

Kate also writes Young Adult mysteries as Kate Maddison. When Kate wrote her debut YA novel, THE INCREDIBLE CHARLOTTE SYACAMORE, her research took her to London for a behind-the-scenes tour of Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle. When Kate is not writing, you can find her hiking at the nearby escarpment, taking photographs, or going to the movies.
